The catch

The credit lasts 30 days, not 30 days of use. Azure places a temporary $1 authorisation on the card at signup. The spending limit only protects you until you deliberately remove it to keep using paid services, after which charges are real.

Before you claim it

  1. Open the provider’s official page and confirm your account and region qualify.
  2. Check the live allowance for the exact model or feature you intend to use.
  3. Review billing settings before enabling paid usage or adding a payment method.

Google Colab

GPU & compute

Free GPU/TPU runtime, subject to availability

A hosted notebook with free access to GPUs and TPUs, when capacity allows.

No credit cardReset not confirmed

The catch. Colab guarantees neither GPU access nor runtime length, and limits shift with demand. SSH shells, remote desktops, crypto mining and long unattended jobs are disallowed on free runtimes and can be terminated without warning.
